The story that increasing that power is good for mental health

People who are prone to anxiety can become immobile by training a certain part of their brain

As with HSP, some people tend to get anxious when they receive negative emotions.
They overreact to surrounding threats, unpleasant events and negative behavior, become unwilling to accept incentives and rewards, and are filled with negative images.
It's a story that you can get depressed.

Such a good news to "prone to anxiety people" . It is said that if you train some parts of your brain, you will become more anxious and unmoving. seriously! What is it like?

By the way, what is the brain function?

Memory

That's why. It feels like a hell.

According to a study conducted by Duke University, 120 men and women who are prone to anxiety were gathered to conduct an experiment on what to do to overcome anxiety. The experiment was divided into two groups, one was for mental arithmetic, memory weakness, games, and other tasks that used memory, the other was left unattended, and when the brain condition was checked, the group that used memory was the one. However, "a certain part" of the brain was activated.

A "part" of the brain is the dlPFC (dorsolateral prefrontal cortex) of the frontal lobe of the brain, an important part of the cerebrum called the control tower, which handles negative emotions and motivates people. The part to adjust.
The conclusion is that activating this part does not increase motivation for rewards, or handle unpleasant or negative events to increase anxiety.

It seems to be effective not only for normal memory but also for training working memory (short-term memory). Working memory is a place to temporarily store when you do mental arithmetic.
It may be difficult to read a book if you are weakened by depression, but conversely, if you train it and improve your brain function, it may lead to overcoming depression .

By the way, this part called dlPFC seems to greatly improve the activity even when mindfulness is performed.

[Experiment by Associate Professor David Creswell, Carnegie Mellon University]

Even with a mindfulness of only three days, there was a difference in brain function between the group with and without mindfulness. The difference was found in the dlPFC (dorsolateral prefrontal cortex) of the frontal lobe of the brain, located around the forehead. The dlPFC is an important part of thinking and cognition called the control tower of the cerebrum. The mindfulness group had significantly improved dlPFC activity. In other words, the control tower in the brain was working very well. On the other hand, the group that did not do mindfulness had a slight decrease in the function of its command tower.

Certainly, deep breathing and meditation can also overcome anxiety. By strengthening your memory and combining mindfulness such as meditation, you can become more anxious and unmoving. I have no choice but to do this.

Brain muscle training method to train memory

So, what exactly should I do to improve my memory?
Training your memory does not mean "eating blue fish and ingesting DHA", but rather training and activating dlPFC in your brain .

Mental arithmetic and difficult calculations

It's a simple action that uses your head. Let's be conscious of calculating change by mental arithmetic at convenience stores. A simple calculation game may be good even with a smartphone app.

Video games are also good

An experiment to improve memory was being conducted in an experiment on a certain TV program. Three entertainers with low memory were given tasks such as "video games", "walking backwards", and "learning difficult dances" for one week, and one week later, when a memory test was conducted, "video games" and "walking backwards" were given. The improvement in the memory of the two people was noticeable. Video games seem to be quite good for brain activation. By the way, the game I was playing was "Resident Evil". I'm scared.

"Walking backwards" seems to be effective, but it's a little inconvenient in real life, so ...

Mindfulness such as meditation

As I wrote earlier, dlPFC's activities will greatly improve when you do mindfulness, so it's a good idea to download a meditation app and make it a habit.

By the way, I use an app called "Sleeping Manma Yoga". I fell asleep by doing a body scan while listening to the voice instructions. It feels good.

Summary

Therefore, it is a story that people who are prone to anxiety can become immobile by training their brain's "memory" .
You can train your dlPFC (dorsolateral prefrontal cortex) to improve your memory, become more anxious, improve your mentality, and study.
Let's do it positively from now on. If you like, please join us.

I will introduce an article about strengthening the brain and improving mentality, so please read this as well if you like.
